My approach in both turnarounds and taking a firm to next level is similar. 1st, understand what the business model should be and how big that can be. 2nd, make sure the top financial person is prepared to effectively manage the balance sheet, track the fundamentals and the metrics specific to the business model. 3rd, build the sales channels to maximize the business model.
